Technical watering for your houseplants
We are PlantGuardian, a mini-company of the YES-Company programme, made up of students from the Kantonsschule Zofingen, whose aim is to simplify plant care, because houseplants are important for good air circulation and a pleasant indoor climate. Our product Nammu uses innovative technology to ensure that your plants get the right amount of water at the right intervals, which prevents root mould and overwatering. Thanks to the permanent water supply, travelling for business or pleasure is no problem. This gives every plant a chance to thrive, because with us, everyone has a green thumb.
Why do we need houseplants?
Houseplants not only beautify rooms, they also improve the mood. But what effects do they have on the environment? Houseplants not only filter chemicals and dust from the air, but also help to humidify and cool the room. They also ensure a healthy oxygen content in the air. Studies show that houseplants can reduce stress, as the colour green has a calming effect. This leads to lower blood pressure and an increased feeling of relaxation and happiness. Houseplants can also prevent allergies, especially in children. By growing up surrounded by plants, the chances of developing an allergy are reduced. With the increasing number of people working from home, more and more people are opting for houseplants as their leaves absorb background noise and thus improve room acoustics, which in turn promotes concentration.
